Kitchen Garden - June 2015
The Kitchen Garden is divided into eight raised beds. Planted with herbs, asparagus, radishes, carrots, parsnips and heritage tomatoes. A list of what is planted in each bed has been attached to a stake in the garden. Chicken wire “protects” against rabbits, but is less successful than the hunting, dogs and wildlife predators that would have been typical of this area in 1886.
