Drainage

The picture above (facing east) shows the result of 1/3 of an inch of rain working on about 3 inches of  newly placed soil. The water comes from the left side of the road starting at the crest of the entrance to Riel House. Creating a dam to stop the water draining into this bed is not going to work.


The picture below (facing west) shows drainage from the right side of the entrance road entering further down into the East section of the Parking Lot Garden.



Where the two water routes enter the garden, we will create two dry beds lined with landscape fabric, filled with river rock, leading to the East drain. We will create a similar dry bed for the West drain.
