Bear!

Well, actually, a wooly bear - I think. Does anyone know exactly what this is?

  1. Hi John,
The ‘wooly bear’ caterpillar may be an American Dagger Moth caterpillar, found in North America east of the Rockies. The sting from the caterpillar may be somewhat poisonous. The moths are quite large.

Google…American Dagger Moth caterpillar and click on the ‘Images’ tab. Then click on the ‘Web’ tab and you can read more.
